Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Jeff and I went out to Lento for what could be our last dinner date as a family of two! We took a few pictures beforehand. Here they are!

Dr. Appointment

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

The doctor appointment went well today. I was a fingertip dilated and 50% effaced. I made an appointment for next week and one for the week after. We’ll see how far I make it or whether I need even more appointments! After the appointment I tried to go to the gym, but was cramping from the cervix check so I went to the grocery store and the Carters store instead. Got some really good deals at Carters! They were having 30% off of already clearanced items! Woohoo!

Nausea!

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

I’m feeling really nauseous still. Today especially, I am having waves of nausea followed by moments of just feeling “ok”, then another wave of nausea. Bleh. This is definitely the worst part of pregnancy and makes me want to deliver soon! I can’t stand feeling this way. I can’t even sit and knit because I will feel sick so I have to just lay around and do nothing. And I have so much to do! My doctor said it’s just because there is less space in my stomach for the baby so my intestines and stomach are squashed which can make me feeling queasy.

Another problem is my dreams. I’ve been dreaming that I’m either giving birth or having contractions every night! Two nights ago I dreamed that I checked my own cervix (I wouldn’t ever do that!) and felt the baby’s head! Then last night I kept dreaming that I was giving birth. It makes me wake up in a panic!

Feeling more and more ready to give birth every day!

Nursery is Ready!

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I feel so much better after the past two weekends. Before then, we had a lot of baby stuff waiting in Ohio, and the only piece of furniture we had was the crib. Last weekend, the Bighams came and brought the rest of our baby stuff, helped us find a dresser, and helped get it into the baby’s room! During the week, I worked on getting stuff into the baby’s room. Then this weekend, my parents visited and my dad fixed some minor problems with our house while my mom helped put together the baby’s room. It looks so good and is totally ready for the baby now! That makes ME ready for the baby now! Sure, I’m still happy for her to stay put until she’s due, but at least I feel much more prepared now! Thank you to both parents! YAY!

Here are some pictures!

In other news, I’ve been feeling about the same. Things are definitely still harder for me than usual. I’m sore in my lower stomach and groin area which makes getting up and down and moving around a lot harder. However, I can still exercise some… just not much. Two nights ago a slept for 6 hours straight! I couldn’t believe it! While my parents were here I didn’t sleep a whole lot but now I’m back on my napping schedule so that’s good. I guess that’s all for now!

37 Weeks Exactly, Pictures!

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Well, here I am at 37 weeks! I’ve been feeling nauseous, and tired. Last night I slept quite well. Woke up a few times but went right back to bed. Got up after maybe 9 hours then went back to bed an hour later and slept for an hour! Awesome! I had my 37 week appointment today as well. It took 2 minutes. The doctor felt the baby’s position (head down, butt on my right side, feet on left side), listened to baby’s heart (sounded great), told me I tested negative for the Strep B test (yay!), then said “see you in a week”. Here are the 37 week pictures!

Uncomfortable!

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Today is the first day I can say I’m really uncomfortable and I just wanted to write something about it. Sure, I’ve had back pain, stomach pain, all sorts of problems here and there, but today I’m just feeling kinda bad all over. My back hurts, I’m tired, but most of all, my lower stomach/groin area hurts! Every step I take, every time I move, I feel the achy-ness. I know things could be worse so I don’t want to complain, but today is an uncomfortable day!

Gotta pee!

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Well, the baby must have moved into a different position because not only do I feel her moving a lot again, but I have an urge to pee almost constantly! It started a few days ago where I would get a strong urge to pee that would only last for a few seconds. Now, she must be permanently pushing on the bladder, because I feel the urge to go a lot! In fact, I got up to pee 4 times in 15 minutes after going to bed last night. This stretched out, luckily, during the night, but not by much.

Lazy/Smart Baby

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Well, I went to the doctor for my 36 week appointment yesterday and told my doctor I have Braxton Hicks pretty much all the time and because of them, I never feel the baby move anymore! I told her I might feel one or two movements every few days, then there will be a day of activity, then another 2 days of almost nothing. She send me for a Non Stress Test at the hospital just to make sure the baby was ok. Of course, as soon as they put the monitor on me Baby started kicking like she hasn’t done in forever! She was just moving around like crazy! I told Jeff she’s lazy and only moves when she knows she has to. Jeff said she’s just smart. She knows there’s no where to go right now so why waste her energy? ha! The nurse who did the NST said Baby is a very happy healthy baby and let me go after the minimum 20 minutes. Yay!

While at my doctor appointment, the doctor also checked my cervix. It is thinning but only dilated about a fingertip. I’m happy about that because I need this baby to stay put a little longer so we can get more done (and so she can be as healthy as possible!) After she checked my cervix, I had a lot of pressure and cramping for the next few hours, and a little discomfort for the rest of the night. I feel better today though.

I was sure I had gained at least 5 pounds between my last two appointments because of how huge my stomach is getting. Actually, I somehow didn’t gain any, so I guess my stomach is just pushing out farther without the weight gain. I’ve been so hungry lately and eating uncontrollably. I’ve also been a lot less active. It’s getting harder to do much and I find myself laying on the couch or taking naps a lot these days!

36 Weeks Exactly, Pictures!

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Oh my… only 4 weeks to go! Sometime this week, I noticed my stomach is definitely larger! It’s getting harder to do things, and my stomach is bumping into something (or many things) every day. It all just started this week. Also, the baby seems to be really low in my stomach. A few nights ago, I asked Jeff to massage my lower back which has been hurting, and I sat straddling a folding chair. I bent forward slightly to rest on the back of the chair and my stomach was resting on the seat of the chair! I couldn’t believe it hit the seat of the chair! Here are the pictures from this morning!
